week beginning 17/03/25

this week it was our first week with our selected song so we all practiced our parts Toby's and riley were took the most priority due to Riley's being simple and Toby's being very complicated however we already knew our parts for Cirice lastly i asked toby to learn their parts for my song Everything I touch in the next coming week I would like too be able work on the little monster bass solo.

In this video this is the first practice of use somebody this is very simple song and all our parts are learned we are just putting them together as full band.

This is the first Cirice run through as a full band that I have, in this video we are practicing getting the structure down because it switches back and fourth quite often.

week begining 24/03/25

this week we had a bigger focus on Jamie's song due to being the least practiced we ran though and we ran through Toby's song because the structure on his song is very confusing to start out with and it is a very drawn out song meaning so we made slight mistakes on some parts and lastly jamies song was practiced next due me having a bass solo and i needed to be ion sink with the guitar.

in  this video this is the first proper run though of Jamie's song little monster in this i mess up quite a lot for example at the lick then the verses come back in and the solo as i was still learning it.

week begining 31/03/25

for my FMP i will be performing the song everything i touch by stabbing westward.

the members of my band and their roles are :

  • Riley lead guitar and vocals

  • toby Rythm guitar

this week we have not managed to rehearse the song, yet as we have all been busy rehearsing other peoples songs. For example i have been rehearsing, Riley's song (use somebody) and Jamie's song (little monster).

rileys song went really well we were working on arrangment and working on when the drums should be coming in and out.

on jamies song we were also working on the arrangment and our individual parts.

This is the second time practicing use somebody with the whole band this song we are still just putting all of our parts into the song and getting used too the structure.

week begining 21/04/25

this week i practiced my song everything i touch by stabbing westward and when we paracticed we all knew our parts and played it quite well however the lead guitar part sounded off in the song so we collectivly resolved the issue next time id like to work on practicing the structure as we messed up the structure wher the second time round the verse's are played twice instead of the regular once. we also did a run throughs of rileys songs jamies and tobys song.

in the first video you can hear that the guitar is playing the wrong part after this it is sorted at the next rehearsal in the video next to it is the corrected video.

week beginning 28/04/25

this week i have practiced Jamie's, Riley's, toby's and my song  getting videos of them, also this was the time that Riley and Toby sorted out their tones. Furthermore we honed in on the structure of the songs, specifically putting focus on cirice and mine due to them being the least practiced. Also today was the run through making it through the set list and we decided the order of the setlist. Next week will focus on structure of my song and I will focus on the solo in Jamie's song

the first proper run though were there is no mistakes the harmony has been sorted out and we are communicating for the timing of the repeat of the pre-chorus.

week begining 05/05/25

This week we are just making just rehearsing our songs to polish them off and get them ready for up and coming performance on Wednesday. We have recorded some final videos of our songs and me and my band members for my song have just made sure we practice communication at when the verse gets repeated twice into the chorus. Lastly i have made sure my guitarists have made their tone pre-sets on the stomps and that they are happy with them.
