So this week, we started our FMP/created our sites ready for the rest of the College Year. I dedicated this week to choosing the Songs I want to perform for the FMP and also made a start on my Research Portfolio. I chose the song, 'Denial' by James Marriott as the song I want to be in control of and I was also asked to be apart of two more songs- one being 'Cirice' by Ghost (Toby's song) and the other being 'I Threw Glass at my Friends Eyes...' by Destroy Boys (Jamie's song).
For Denial, I have chosen my Band Members to be Me on Vocals, Ryan on Rhythm Guitar, Toby on Lead Guitar, Kai on Bass and Jamie on Drums. I have chosen these people because we have played Music together before and I believe we all work well together and the reason I chose 'Denial' is because I want the opportunity to push myself out of my comfort zone and not do a Heavy song like I usually do because 'Denial' fits more into the Indie Music Scene which isn't something I have dabbled into playing before.

This week I wasn't actually in College due to some Personal Reasons, so I never really got round to doing any communicating with my Band Members. Although, whenever I got the chance, I spent about an Hour or Two everyday dedicating some time into learning my parts for the songs I am apart of just to make sure that I am still learning and preparing for when I am at College again.

I was back in College again this week so we finally got to do our first Run-Throughs all together for the songs I am collaborating in. After having a discussion during a Theory lesson, I found it was best to drop 'Denial' and replace it with 'F*ck You and all your Friends' by Falling in Reverse. I did this because the playing abilities needed to Perform the song 'Denial' were out of the Skill Range that my Band Members were able to do, due to the songs overall Complexion. 'F*ck you and all your Friends' is a Heavier song compared to 'Denial' which is gonna take a while to adjust too, but all things considered, I reckon we have a better chance at succession with this song.
For my new chosen song- I have Me on Bass + Backing Vocals, Riley on Lead Vocals + Rhythm Guitar, Jamie on Drums, Kai on Bass and Toby on Lead Guitar.
Jamie has also changed his song from 'I Threw Glass...' to 'Little Monster' by Royal Blood which is okay because I already know that song pretty well, meaning I can dedicate more time into perfecting the other songs that still need more Rehearsing.
The video on the Left was our first time trying to do a Run-Through altogether of Jamies FMP song 'Little Monster'.

Due to some personal Health Issues, I wasn't in this week once again so I didn't manage to get much done for practising. Much like last time, I did what I could at home, whether that was running over my Lyrics or practising my Bass Tabs. I also did a little but of Communicating with my Band Members over Social Media just to make sure we were all on track for the FMP and to coonfirm that we all know what was expected of us + our songs.

This week, me and my band having been Rehearsing our songs and doing Full Run-throughs altogether. The only people we haven't had present is Kai (Bass) and Kara (Keyboard)- although today we did manage to do some Run-Throughs with Kara as she was in College and had practised her parts while she was away, so all we had to do was add her into what we were already playing and figure out our timings.
This Afternoon, we have also done some Auditions for the Dartmouth Music Festival because having the opportunity to play at this Gig would be very helpful in promoting ourselves and placing our Band Name into the Local Music scene. After doing some Auditions, we then moved onto doing a Full Set List Run-Through for everyones own personal songs that they are in charge of for the FMP (Final Major Project). I think the Songs we did perform sounded pretty okay but definitely need a little more work and Rehearsing just so we can confirm our confidence and guarantee they sound the best that they can.
On the left are some Rehearsal Videos I managed to record while we were doing some practise Run-Throughs of 'Cirice' which was Toby's chosen song for the FMP- I was singing for this song.

As we are coming up on the FMP (Final Major Project), I have been dedicating most of my time inside of College to perfecting my song 'F*ck You and all your Friends' as me and my Band haven't spent too much time on playing it together. We also prioritised getting videos of our Rehearsals as that is a section that is required for the FMP Evidence.
Today (Wednesday) we did a full Set List Run-Through and finalised the order of our Set List that we are going to use during the Show. Me and My Bandmates got a chance to mini-perform most of our songs, this included 'Cirice', 'F*ck You...' and 'Little Monster'- the only song we didn't get a chance to Play was 'The Pretender' and that was because we had Ran out of time. Although we didn't get to play 'The Pretender', I am pretty confident on my Skill Levels for that song and I already know and have Rehearsed my parts to play on the Bass.
On the Left is 3 Run-Through Videos I managed to record of my FMP song 'F*ck You and all Your Friends'. Between the first and Second Video, me and my Bandmates had a discussion on how it sounded as we didn't believe the song sounded the best it could. We found that the best resolution would be to tweak my Bass Tab and alter it so that what I was playing on the Bass would match the Tab for the Rhythm Guitar- this made a huge impact as you will hear in the Videos because it made the Song sound more put together and the Bass no longer sounded out of place.

With the FMP being on the 7th, this Journal entry comes two days early. This week is basically dedicated to any Practical Work and making sure we fit in as many Rehearsals as possible before the Big Show.
Me and my Bandmates did Rehearsals of all the songs we were apart of as this made sure we were all on the same page for the Performance and so that we knew our songs are 100% up to standard and have been Practised to perfection.
On the left are the only Rehearsal Videos I managed to Record and they were us rehearsing 'The Pretender' which was Ryan's chosen FMP song. This song I was playing Bass for and I knew by this point of Band Practise that I had an idea of everything I had to play and all of the Song timings perfectly.
There was more Rehearsals of course but I never managed to capture any Videos of them but overall, all of our Practising went well together this week.
